- Your order confirmation contains full instructions for getting started and includes a unique Test-ID with the headline, “Your Test-ID and Instructions”
- IMPORTANT: A Home Testing Kit is not included with your order to keep prices and turnaround times as low as possible. You can post a hair sample the same day of placing your order with no additional waiting times for the delivery of a home testing kit.

Register your Test-ID online
- Create an account here – account.uklabs.co.uk
- Register your Test-ID when logged in. You will find your Test-ID in your inbox with the subject line “Your Test-ID and Instructions”
- Add details of the person being tested

Take a hair sample
- Take 3-4 strands of hair, as close to the root as possible
- Dyed, bleached and treated hair can be used
- Bald? No problem we accept all body hair

Clearly mark your hair sample and...
- Ensure a maximum of one hair sample only per envelope
- Place hair samples inside a clear plastic bag and seal
- Place the hair marked with your unique Test-ID into an envelope (do not forget to register it online under your account before sending)
- Write your unique Test-ID on the envelope front side (for tracking)
- Please remember: only 1 hair sample per envelope can be processed.

Post your hair sample to the UK laboratory
- Place your hair sample and unique Test-ID into a stamped addressed envelope
- A 2nd class stamp should suffice (please check the correct postage is paid) If you are using a zip-lock bag with sliding lock, to send your sample, the cost of postage will be more due to the thickness of the envelope. Please consult your postal service to check prices.
- Include your Test-ID with your hair sample; please place it clearly on a small piece of paper
- And post to: UK Labs PO Box 1431 LINCOLN LN5 5AP

Receive results
- We will notify you as soon as the laboratory receives your hair sample…
- … and again, when your results are ready to be downloaded from your account.
- Results are typically uploaded to your account within 3 – 5 business days from the laboratory receiving your hair sample.
